Yeah. I see a lot of that. What is this new bullshit that "if you multi-ship you countenance infidelity IRL" that I've seen on twitter? It makes absolutely zero sense. But I suppose a lot of my feelings come from the fact that I'm deeply skeptical of monogamy. I'm monogamish, as Dan Savage would say. I have a primary partner and I'm mostly faithful except with certain sanctioned exceptions. I don't think I could handle being one hundred percent monogamous. I've tried, and it made me miserable. But there's so much romanticization of exclusivity and even of jealousy in fandom that really gives me the heebie jeebies.
